   Proposal Description:
   1) To evaluate various risk factors related to dementia progression (i.e.,        cognitive, functional, and behavioral) from time of onset/diagnosis to death in   an autopsy-confirmed sample. This research will aim to provide information for    clinicians to use when explaining prognostic information to patients and          families regarding time to nursing home/assisted living placement, activities     of daily living, cognitive impairments, and time to death.                        2)                                                                                - To identify demographic, cognitive, functional, medical, and genetic risk       factors related to the progression of dementia-related declines following         disease onset/diagnosis.                                                          - From a combination of identified risk factors, provide clinically applicable    predictions for disease progression (i.e., functional, cognitive, and             behavioral declines, as well as time to death).    3) Examine differences in the progression of cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms between autopsy confirmed neurodegenerative diseases.
